Dr. Williams is a Harvard-trained urologist and surgeon. NE-AUA Best Clinical Research in 2010.
His clinical interests lie largely in robotic and minimally invasive surgical treatments of urologic cancers (prostate, kidney, bladder, etc) and enlarged prostate (BPH). He has specifically helped pioneer robotic surgery at Harvard in the treatment of prostate, renal, ureteral and testicular cancers. He has over 50 peer-reviewed publications, 4 book chapters and over 25 presentations at local and national meetings (click here for CV). He is an expert reviewer for The Journal of Urology, The Journal of Robotic Surgery, Urology, European Urology, Journal of Endourology, Canadian Journal of Urology, The Journal of Reproduction and Infertility and Clinical Genitourinary Cancer. His experience with kidney stone management and other aspects of general urology is equally extensive.
Dr. Williams strives to uphold the clinical guidelines set by the American Urological Association (AUA) and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN).
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Robotic Surgery and Urologic Oncology:
Dr. Williams has extensive experience in Robotic (da Vinci) Laparoscopic Prostatectomy for prostate cancer and robotic kidney procedures with several publications in each area. His studies have demonstrated excellent chance for cancer cure, no change in penile length, decreased pain with excellent functional outcomes in men undergoing robotic prostatectomy.
